Looking for a primary school can be a difficult and stressful decision. It is always best to visit as many schools as you can, this will tell so much more than reading an Ofsted report or viewing the school online. Here are some questions to ask yourself or the school during your visit:
How does it feel when you walk around? Go with your ‘gut’
Is there a calm and happy atmosphere?
Are the children valued no matter what academic success they have?
Did YOU feel valued whilst visiting?
Were children encouraged to be independent and involved in their learning?
How are children supported emotionally as well as academically?
How are parents informed and involved in their own children’s learning?
