How can the Prime Areas of Learning help with my child’s development?
The Early Years Foundation Stage is divided into seven areas of learning which interlink with one another. These start with the three prime areas which are Communication and Language, Personal Social and Emotional Development, and Physical Development. Together these form the essential stepping stones to the other four areas – also known as the specific areas – of learning, which are Expressive Arts and Design, Literacy, Mathematics, and Understanding of the World.
