About Home-Start Essex
Home-Start Essex aims to give children the best possible start in life by supporting parents and caregivers to feel less isolated, to build their confidence in themselves and their parenting and to find ways to manage the challenges they face.
We build trusting, helpful relationships with families and deliver a range of flexible support to meet their individual needs.
Being a parent can be hard work, especially with young children. It can be lonely, exhausting, overwhelming and stressful. Everyone struggles at one time or another, you are not alone, and help is available.
All our services are based around the principle that we offer no judgement, just compassionate, confidential* and helpful support.
*excluding exceptional circumstances when there are safety concerns for an individual, which will result in our team following our Safeguarding Policy.
Who we support
We help families from all backgrounds, from Pre-Birth to under 5. We support families across Mid, South & West Essex.

- SEND Family Support Groups
- Fitness and Fun
- Behaviour Support
- Wellbeing Support Programme
- Mothers in Mind (Perinatal Mental Health Support)
- 1 to 1 Counselling
- Baby Massage
