Tip Top Teeth

What is oral health?

Oral health is all about looking after your mouth and teeth, no matter your age, as part of your general health and wellbeing. Taking care of baby teeth is essential for a child’s health and development.

What you need to know:

  • NHS dental care is free for children – you can find an NHS dentist here: https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-dentist
  • It is recommended you take your child for their first visit to the dentist when they start getting their baby teeth through (this also helps them to become familiar with going to the dentists)
  • It is recommended you take your child for regular dental check ups
  • If you have any concerns about your child’s oral health, please speak to your child’s dentist
